New ‘Adults’ prequel episode drops today ahead of Season 2 launch
A prequel titled “Marathon Day” for the series “Adults” premieres on July 31 on FXX and Hulu, revealing the backstory of Paul Baker.
Fans of the comedy-drama “Adults” can watch a brand-new prequel episode, “Marathon Day,” that launches today, July 31, at 1 p.m. ET on both FXX and Hulu. The hour-long installment focuses on Paul Baker’s (Jack Innanen) origins and explains how he entered the long-standing friendship of Billie, Samir, Anton and Issa. Creators Ben Kronengold and Rebecca Shaw highlighted the episode as a chance to show the group’s formation and hinted at a “radioactive spider” moment for Paul.
The episode is part of the promotional push ahead of the series’ second season, which will debut in full on Aug. 27 with eight episodes on Hulu. Viewers can access the prequel through a Hulu subscription, a Disney+ bundle, or a free DIRECTV trial that includes FXX.
