New Jersey Governor Sherrill's PAC backs 13 veteran Democrats in key races

Approaching the midterm elections, New Jersey Governor Mikie Sherrill used her Mission to Deliver political action committee to unveil endorsements for 13 Democratic candidates who have served in the military or held national-security positions. The slate includes Massachusetts Rep. Seth Moulton, North Carolina Rep. Don Davis, New Hampshire Rep. Maggie Goodlander, former Virginia Rep. Elaine Luria and several others aiming to unseat Republican incumbents in closely contested districts.

Federal Election Commission filings indicate the PAC collected just under $1.2 million by June 30, with much of the funding coming from labor-union-affiliated committees. Sherrill, a Navy helicopter pilot and Naval Academy graduate, contrasted the candidates' multiple oaths to the Constitution with President Donald Trump's lack of military service. She signaled plans to campaign aggressively in swing states such as Nevada, New Hampshire, Texas and Wisconsin, and a source said further endorsements may follow. The initiative seeks to raise Sherrill's national profile as Democrats shape their direction ahead of the 2028 presidential contest.
