NJ Poker Star Michael Gagliano Nears Final Table With Seven Players Left

At the Horseshoe Events Center in Las Vegas, the WSOP Main Event progressed to a seven-player final table after the first night’s eliminations of Evagoras Evagorou of Cyprus and Mario Boos of France. Lucas Jumalon held the chip lead with 212 million chips, but Michael "Gags" Gagliano of Glen Gardner contested his dominance, winning a pivotal hand with ace-high on the river. Entering the second night, Gagliano was fifth in chip count at 42 million, guaranteeing at least $1.5 million in prize money.
