Noida and Ghaziabad Capture Nearly Half of Uttar Pradesh’s Housing Investment
Noida and Ghaziabad together attracted about Rs 19,000 crore in investments and will deliver roughly 22,660 homes, representing 49% of Uttar Pradesh’s approved housing units in the first half of 2026.
UP-Rera’s six-month review shows that out of 143 approved real-estate projects across Uttar Pradesh, Noida and Ghaziabad together drew almost Rs 19,000 crore in funding, accounting for 49% of the state’s slated housing units. The districts host 27 and 19 projects respectively, translating into 13,160 and 9,500 new homes. Lucknow recorded the highest count of registered projects (37) but attracted only Rs 3,834 crore and 9,872 units.
Officials say the dominance of Noida and Ghaziabad stems from their closeness to Delhi, which appeals to buyers nationwide. Infrastructure upgrades such as expressways, metro lines, industrial corridors and smart-city initiatives have further boosted their attractiveness. UP-Rera chairperson Sanjay Bhoosreddy linked the figures to growing confidence among investors and the state government’s development-oriented policies that enhance transparency and accountability in the sector.
