North Carolina driver records road-rage incident with threats while toddler cries
A mother captured a road-rage episode on a North Carolina interstate after another driver cut her off, brake-checked her and shouted death threats while her 3-year-old son cried in the back seat.
While traveling on a North Carolina interstate around 4:30 p.m., Myeka Dunn was cut off and brake-checked by a dark-blue sedan, prompting her to honk and start recording the encounter. The aggressor leaned out of his vehicle, repeatedly shouting that Dunn would die and that he could kill her, all while her 3-year-old son cried in the back seat. Dunn contacted both 911 and the Guilford Metro non-emergency line, informing dispatchers of the video evidence.
A dispatcher entered a BOLO alert but omitted some details, according to Deputy Director of Operations Christine Moore. Greensboro police later issued a BOLO, identified the driver, and noted that no arrest has occurred; Dunn is pursuing a misdemeanor warrant against the suspect. The incident highlights concerns about response protocols for road-rage threats.
