Nvidia, Microsoft and dozens of tech firms launch Open Secure AI Alliance
Nvidia announced the formation of the Open Secure AI Alliance, bringing together Microsoft, Dell, SpaceX, the Linux Foundation, HPE and a host of other technology companies. The coalition aims to accelerate the development of open‑source cybersecurity solutions for frontier AI models by sharing model weights, data sets and verification techniques. Participants will contribute tools such as the Safetensors format and cryptographic validation methods.
The alliance calls on governments to invest in shared open AI infrastructure and to recognize open models as defensive resources. Notable U.S. AI leaders such as OpenAI, Google and Anthropic are not listed among the participants.
