NWSL ends Victory+ partnership, shifts games to its own streaming service

The National Women’s Soccer League has cut ties with the streaming service Victory+ effective immediately, citing a missed rights payment. The league will now air its matches on the free, ad-supported platform NWSL+ starting with the Sunday game between the Utah Royals and Portland Thorns. Five clubs—Bay FC, Washington Spirit, Orlando Pride, Gotham FC, and Angel City FC—had regional agreements with Victory+, and the Pride and Bay FC announced terminations on Thursday, with Gotham FC likely to do the same.

Victory+ has been losing partners across sports, with the Texas Rangers and Anaheim Ducks already exiting. Despite the fallout, Victory+ still retains deals with the Dallas Stars and WNBA teams Minnesota Lynx and Atlanta Dream. The NWSL’s broader media rights package remains split among several outlets, Amazon Prime Video and Scripps’ ION, while the fate of games slated for 2027 is still uncertain.
