Ohio mother of 16 children booked after squalid home raid, hides arm mark on video

Police descended on a severely neglected residence in southeastern Ohio, discovering 16 children in deplorable conditions that officials likened to “almost feral animals.” Mother Elizabeth Siders, 33, along with her husband Gary Siders Jr., 37, and her parents-in-law Christina and Gary Siders Sr., were arrested and each charged with 16 felony counts of child endangerment. On July 1, Siders was processed at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Jail, where video shows her keeping her head down while repeatedly covering a dark blemish on her left forearm.
In a second clip, she appears uneasy in an orange jumpsuit, still fidgeting with the same mark. The children were transported to hospitals across Ohio; two required air-lifts to trauma centers and at least one needed intubation. Siders is being held on a $300,000 bond pending further legal action.
