Ohio mother receives probation after injecting child with fecal matter at hospital

In a case that shocked staff at Columbus' Nationwide Children’s Hospital, 35-year-old Tiffany M. Le Sueur admitted guilt to a misdemeanor child endangerment charge after being recorded injecting fecal matter into her child's IV line. Surveillance video documented her repeatedly performing the act while the child was under medical care, as well as her retrieving a cup from a bathroom, filling a syringe, and administering the material.
Le Sueur was arrested on February 9, days after the hospital personnel noticed the suspicious behavior. During sentencing, the court imposed only probation and scheduled a follow-up hearing for April 2027, far less severe than the potential nine-month to eight-year prison term that could have applied under the original child endangerment with torture allegations.
