Omilia secures $67 million Series B to expand AI voice support platform

Omilia announced a $67 million Series B round led by Expedition Growth Capital, aiming to grow its voice-based customer service technology and U.S. presence.

Omilia, a veteran in voice-call automation since 2002, closed a $67 million Series B financing round headed by Expedition Growth Capital, following a $20 million raise from Grafton Capital in 2020. The infusion will support the launch of a U.S. office, the recruitment of a chief revenue officer, chief marketing officer and a VP of revenue operations, and the scaling of its self-learning contact-center agents. CEO Dimitris Vassos emphasized that many support queries are simple and do not require large language models, positioning Omilia’s toolset as a cost-effective alternative to pure generative-AI rivals.

The company now reports $60 million in annual recurring revenue, a tenfold increase, and serves clients such as Capital One, Discover, RBC, DWP, PSEG and Taco Bell, with the latter’s voice-ordering system deployed in over 1,000 locations. Omilia is also in talks with two additional quick-service restaurant brands in the United States. Headcount stands at roughly 500 employees, with a target of 600 by year-end.

Why it matters

The funding enables Omilia to scale cost-effective AI voice support, impacting how large enterprises and restaurants handle customer interactions.
