Ontario man receives one-day jail term after pimping and impregnating teen

In Ontario's Superior Court of Justice, Hamed Khogyani admitted to procuring an 18-year-old woman for sexual services and profiting from her work from 2015 to 2018. He also fathered her child and pressured her to keep prostituting herself during pregnancy. The court noted his extensive pre-trial custody, including house-arrest bail and time in a Milton jail with severe conditions, and credited him with 557 days already served.
Justice Michael Derstine sentenced him to a single additional day, citing mitigation from his custodial hardships and his role as primary caregiver for his daughter and elderly parents.
