Paramount+ rolls out new plans, free trial and discounts for August 2026
Paramount+ is promoting its Essential and Premium tiers with a week-long free trial, student and military discounts, and a slate of new shows and sports for August 2026.
Paramount+ presents two pricing tiers—Essential ($8/month) with advertisements and select Showtime series, and Premium ($13/month) that removes ads, adds 4K UHD, Dolby Vision, downloadable content and full one outlet live access. A one-week free trial is available to all new subscribers, though it cannot be combined with other offers. Discounted rates of $4/month are offered to verified students and a lifetime 50% off is granted to military members.
The service’s August schedule highlights new seasons of South Park, Lioness, The Challenge, and a host of UFC Fight Night bouts streamed from venues in Serbia, Philadelphia and Sacramento. Sports coverage also includes NFL games on one outlet, UEFA Champions League soccer, and a growing catalog of movies such as The Godfather Part II and Top Gun: Maverick. Users may cancel anytime, with the cancellation method depending on the sign-up channel.
