Pat Houston announced the release of a new Whitney Houston collection titled “WH1TNEY,” a first-ever Whitney Barbie, and upcoming legacy events.
Pat Houston, who manages Whitney Houston’s estate, said the new album “WH1TNEY” arrived on Friday, joining a series of events honoring what would have been Houston’s 63rd birthday. A specially designed Whitney Houston Barbie, reflecting the iconic 1987 video outfit, is set to launch on Sunday through Mattel. The fifth annual Whitney Houston Legacy of Love gala will be held Saturday night.
In the interview, Houston reflected on the influence of music executive Clive Davis and noted that plans are underway for the 35th anniversary of “The Bodyguard,” though details remain under wraps. She also addressed the idea of a biopic, emphasizing the need for purposeful storytelling. Looking ahead to 2027, the 15th anniversary of Houston’s death, she hopes to showcase unseen performances and expand her global legacy.
