Patriot Games to Spotlight Youth Athletes with Possible Trump Appearance
The 2026 Patriot Games youth sports festival will be held at SPIRE Academy in Harpersfield Township, and officials say President Donald Trump may attend.
The Patriot Games youth athletic competition is scheduled for August 9-11 at SPIRE Academy in Harpersfield Township, part of a nationwide series honoring America’s 250th birthday. County Commissioner Casey Kozlowski indicated that President Donald Trump is expected to join the festivities, a visit that would be his first to Ashtabula County since 2016. The tournament targets teenagers aged 14 to 17 and tests strength, endurance, agility, teamwork and perseverance, aiming to showcase the qualities that have defined the nation.
Freedom250’s Danielle Alvarez said the event underscores optimism and leadership among the next generation of American champions. Competitions will be streamed live on one outlet App, with a prime-time one outlet on one outlet special slated for August 13, and winners will be awarded $250,000 in scholarships.
