PayMore Stores provides a two-way service for families facing back-to-school tech costs: it purchases used phones, laptops and gaming consoles, handling data deletion and offering immediate cash, and it sells refurbished devices at steep discounts. By the end of 2025 the retailer operated more than 100 U.S. stores and plans to add nearly another 100 locations across the United States and Canada in 2026. Broken gadgets are still accepted, and any items the company cannot resell are recycled at no cost to the customer.
The inventory includes smartphones, laptops beginning at $130, a $300 MacBook, and even classic consoles like the Wii, with most products eligible for home delivery. A limited-time promotion gives shoppers $10 off purchases of $100 or more until the end of August. The model aims to lower the financial barrier of equipping students with necessary technology.
