PCB bans Hamza Nazar for two years over false visa details
The Pakistan Cricket Board has imposed a two-year suspension and a Rs 1 million fine on all-rounder Hamza Nazar for providing misleading information in a visa application.
An internal inquiry by the Pakistan Cricket Board determined that all-rounder Hamza Nazar gave false or incomplete information during a visa application processed by the board. A three-person panel reviewed evidence, allowed Nazar to present his side, and ultimately recommended disciplinary action. The PCB announced a two-year ban from all cricket activities, both domestic and international, together with a fine of Rs 1 million.
Officials emphasized that such misrepresentation undermines the values and reputation of Pakistan cricket. The sanction also removed Nazar from contention for the recent two-Test series in the West Indies. The board warned that it will not tolerate conduct that harms its image or the sport’s supporters.
