A court convicted Tianna Addison Diodato-Day of igniting the chapel at one of Perth’s principal funeral sites, a blaze that inflicted more than $3.4 million in losses. Prosecutors said she started the fire to impress members of a friendship group and was also linked to other arsons at a cemetery in Mandurah. The presiding judge warned that the eventual insurance payout would be recouped from the public through higher premiums.
