PGA Tour of Australasia unveils 19-event summer schedule featuring McIlroy and DeChambeau

The PGA Tour of Australasia released a packed 19-event schedule that begins with the PNG Open at Royal Port Moresby Golf Club from Aug. 27-30. The itinerary moves through every Australian mainland state, includes stops on New Zealand’s north and south islands, and features two new tournament sites: Secret Harbour Golf Links for the WA Open and Peninsula Kingswood Country Golf Club for a Players Series stop. Rory McIlroy will headline the Australian Open at Kingston Heath Golf Club on Dec. 3-6, following his successful defense of the Masters earlier this year.

Organizers are also targeting two-time US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau for the Australian PGA Championship at The Lakes Golf Club in Sydney, the first such event in the city since 1998. The Queensland PGA Championship at Nudgee Golf Club precedes the Australian PGA Championship, which is co-sanctioned by the European Tour and launches the Race to Dubai season-long ranking. Additional events include the New Zealand Open finale and the Japan-Australasia Championship at Royal Auckland & Grange Golf Club.
