PGA Tour suspends Trey Mullinax for six months after doping breach

The PGA Tour confirmed that Trey Mullinax has received a six-month ban after a World Anti-Doping Agency-listed substance was found in his system. The 34-year-old will be eligible to compete again on Jan. 16, 2027. Mullinax explained that he took medication for a college-diagnosed condition without securing the Tour’s clearance and emphasized that he never intended to enhance his performance.

He accepted the sanction, calling it a learning experience, and reiterated his respect for the sport. This marks his second season with three missed cuts on the PGA and Korn Ferry Tours. Mullinax joins a limited group of players, including Doug Barron, Scott Stallings, Bhavik Patel and Brad Fritsch, who have faced disciplinary action for doping violations.
