Police hunt shooter after Walmart employee wounded in Pennsylvania store dispute

Police were called to a Walmart in Darby Township, Delaware County, shortly after 7 p.m. on Friday following reports of gunshots inside the store. According to Darby Township Police Chief Michael Sousa, two men began arguing at a self-checkout station, and one of them produced a firearm and fired a round that hit a female Walmart employee in the leg, though she was not the intended target. The employee received medical treatment at a hospital, while the shooter escaped before officers could arrive.

Authorities are examining the store’s security cameras to locate the suspect, and they have confirmed that there is no ongoing danger to the public. The Walmart and nearby businesses have been cleared, and the investigation remains active.
