Influencer Sydney Towle, 26, died after publicly sharing her struggle with a rare bile-duct cancer.
Sydney Towle, a social-media personality with over a million TikTok followers, died at age 26 following a battle with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer affecting the bile ducts. Diagnosed in 2023, she used her platforms to chronicle multiple surgeries, chemotherapy cycles, and participation in clinical studies, while also sharing uplifting experiences such as modeling a bright pink Aerie outfit during treatment and walking in a runway show at Miami Swim Week.
In May she warned that her health was rapidly declining, and in June she fulfilled a childhood dream by appearing on the Post Swim and The Chemo Club runway. Her older brother Austin posted a tribute on TikTok and had earlier disclosed that she had entered hospice care. Towle’s death was announced with a photo of her smiling against a mountain sunset, accompanied by messages of love from fans and family.
