Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank delivered a daughter at a Lisbon hospital on Monday at 18:20 BST, with the baby weighing 6 lb 9 oz. The royal couple announced the birth on Instagram, expressing their joy and noting that a name has yet to be chosen. Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying Their Majesties the King and Queen were delighted by the development.
The newborn, who will be 15th in the succession line, will not receive the HRH title and joins her two older brothers, August Philip Hawke and Ernest George Ronnie. Eugenie and Brooksbank reside part-time in Portugal and at Ivy Cottage within the Kensington Palace grounds. The arrival adds a fifth grandchild to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the princess’s father.
