PSB iQ2 Wireless Speakers Blend High-End Audio with Smart-Home Features

PSB’s iQ2 wireless stereo pair, retailing for $1,399, aims to merge premium hi-fi sound with the convenience of modern streaming. Housed in a minimalist bookshelf form factor, the speakers are available in seven finishes and measure roughly 9 × 6 inches, making them suitable for TV stands or desks but less ideal for kitchens or very small rooms. The primary unit houses a full suite of inputs—including HDMI-eARC, phono/line, optical and both Type-A and Type-C USB—while both speakers communicate wirelessly and require only a power outlet.

Users set up the system via the BluOS app, which offers fast configuration, access to popular services such as Spotify, and advanced options for input routing and multi-room grouping. In listening tests, the iQ2 delivers a natural, controlled low end and clear mids, handling dense electronic tracks and cinematic action without excessive bass or distortion, though its modest size limits maximum volume. The built-in phono preamp performs adequately but shows a narrower sound signature, a point PSB says it will refine. Compared with rivals like Sonos, KEF’s LSX II and Wiim Ultra, the iQ2 stands out for its extensive connectivity, albeit at a premium price.
