Rays rally in 11 innings to edge Rockies after Peralta's rough debut

Tampa Bay rallied from a 5-1 hole to beat Colorado 9-7 in an 11-inning thriller on Tuesday night. Liam Hicks, acquired from Miami at the trade deadline, delivered a grand slam in his Rays debut, giving the team a 5-1 lead in the third inning. Colorado responded with Willi Castro's career-high 13th homer, a two-run shot that put them ahead 7-5 in the fourth, while Mickey Moniak added a three-run blast to tie the game at five.

Jonathan Aranda's two-run single in the ninth tied the score at seven, and Ben Williamson raced home on a wild pitch by rookie Nick Frasso in the 11th, followed by Junior Caminero's RBI single. Freddy Peralta, coming over from the Mets, lasted just 3 2/3 innings, allowing seven runs on nine hits.
