Real Madrid send Franco Mastantuono on season-long loan to Fiorentina
Real Madrid have arranged a loan for winger Franco Mastantuono to join Fiorentina for the 2026-27 campaign.
Real Madrid completed a loan agreement sending forward Franco Mastantuono to Fiorentina for the entire 2026-27 season. The decision comes after the club finalized the transfers of Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios to Fulham. Increased competition from Bernardo Silva, the incoming Yan Diomande, Brahim Diaz and Endrick on the right flank left Mastantuono with limited prospects for playing time.
Several teams showed interest, but the player indicated Fiorentina as his top choice. According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, the loan has now been sealed. The move mirrors previous loan strategies, such as Endrick’s successful spell at Lyon, and aims to give Mastantuono valuable experience in Italian football.
Why it matters
The loan gives Mastantuono regular game time and helps Real Madrid manage a crowded attacking roster.
