Reform UK files police complaint against Green Party leader over controversial Instagram post

Reform UK has reported Green Party leader Zack Polanski to police after he reposted an image featuring a man in a shirt with a guillotine and the name “Nigel.”

Reform UK announced it is referring Green Party leader Zack Polanski to law enforcement following his Instagram repost of a photo showing a man wearing a shirt with the word “Nigel” next to a guillotine illustration. The pictures were part of a series Polanski posted after a Green Party event, reaching his 713,000 followers. Upon being alerted to the content, Polanski promptly deleted the post and asserted he does not support dangerous messaging.

Nigel Farage, head of Reform UK, shared a screenshot of the repost on X, labeling the material as incitement to murder and suggesting Polanski should face arrest. Zia Yusuf, Reform UK’s home affairs spokesperson, echoed the accusation, stating the image constitutes a threat. The party has now lodged a formal police report against Polanski.
