Revolut hits $75 billion valuation as it eyes U.S. expansion and a potential $200 billion IPO
Fintech firm Revolut, now valued at $75 billion and serving 75 million users, has secured full banking licences in the UK and Ireland and is applying for a U.S. licence while planning a future IPO that could exceed $200 billion.
Revolut, the London-based fintech that has become a household verb in Ireland, now serves 75 million customers across 40 countries and posted record 2025 profits of $2.3 billion, up 57% year-on-year. After securing a full banking licence from UK regulators, the firm can provide the full suite of retail banking products, and it already enjoys banking authorisation in Ireland where over four-fifths of adults use its services.
Founder Nik Storonsky and UK chief Francesca Carlesi are pursuing a U.S. banking licence to replicate the Irish model in the larger American market. The latest funding round valued Revolut at $75 billion, with backing from Nvidia and SoftBank, and Storonsky has hinted at an IPO that could command a valuation north of $200 billion. JPMorgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon praised Revolut as a prime example of financial disruption in his April shareholder letter. Executives stress that the company aims to be a single “financial super-app,” combining banking, lending, trading, wealth management and crypto under one platform.
