Richard Madden to Lead New Hospital-Siege Thriller ‘Trauma’ on Prime Video and Paramount+
Actor Richard Madden has been cast as the lead in the upcoming series “Trauma,” a hostage thriller set in a London hospital that will stream on Prime Video in the U.K. and Ireland and on Paramount+ elsewhere.
Richard Madden is set to headline the new thriller “Trauma,” in which he plays ex-Marine medic Jim Marchant, forced to navigate a terrorist siege inside a busy London hospital where the Prime Minister is held captive. The project emerged from a partnership between Lionsgate Television and 42 Management & Production, securing Prime Video for the U.K. and Ireland and Paramount+ for all other markets. Hannah Blyth acquired the series for Prime Video UK/Ireland, and Geoff Bussetil, known for “Slow Horses,” serves as creator, writer, and executive producer.
Daniel Syrkin will direct and co-executive produce, with Madden also joining the executive-producer team. Jane Wiseman and Scott Herbst highlighted the collaboration as a showcase of bold, global storytelling, emphasizing the series’ high-stakes, floor-by-floor action.
