Rihanna dazzles Barbados with jeweled Carnival costume at Crop Over parade

Rihanna returned to Barbados for the Crop Over festival, appearing in a vibrant, feathered costume designed by local creator Lauren Austin.

Barbadian native Rihanna made a high-profile appearance at the Grand Kadooment parade, the climax of the island’s Crop Over harvest festival. She stepped out in a bold Carnival costume featuring feathered wings in turquoise, pink and orange, complemented by an ornate jeweled headpiece, created by local designer Lauren Austin, who has worked with her on festival looks since 2013. During the procession, Rihanna joined her brother Rorrey Fenty’s band Aura on stage, dancing and interacting with enthusiastic fans on a packed float.

The event marks her latest homecoming after missing previous years for professional and family commitments, and follows a surprise live set at Jay-Z’s Yankee Stadium concert. In addition to her music career, she continues to front Savage X Fenty lingerie campaigns, recently posing with a stop sign while wearing diamond-encrusted lace. Rihanna shares three children—sons RZA and Riot and daughter Rocki—with partner A$AP Rocky.
