Sarfaraz Khan added to India's Test squad for Sri Lanka series
Sarfaraz Khan was named as a replacement in India's Test team for the upcoming two-match series against Sri Lanka.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed Sarfaraz Khan's inclusion in the Test side for the two-match Sri Lanka tour, replacing the injured Sai Sudharsan. Sudharsan suffered a toe problem during the India A tour and is recuperating at the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru. Khan posted images wearing the Team India travelling jersey, showing his father seated next to him.
He is set to link up with the squad in Colombo ahead of the opening Test at Galle on August 15, followed by a second match in Colombo. The fixtures carry weight for India's bid to reach the World Test Championship final, where they currently sit fifth on the points table.
