Science Minister Jitendra Singh Opens India's First Eco-Educational Botanical Hub in Lucknow

At a ceremony in Lucknow, science and technology minister Jitendra Singh dedicated the CSIR-National Botanical Research Institute's Prakriti Gyan Dham, a pioneering eco-educational hub situated within the Maharishi Parashar Bioresource Centre. The campus showcases a heritage trail called PAaVan Path, an Indian Heritage Garden with historically significant trees, and a Bamboosteum displaying 43 bamboo species. Singh called for scientific bodies to extend their impact beyond labs by leveraging digital platforms for wider societal benefit.

The event also introduced an herbal formulation for male reproductive health, created in partnership with Himalaya. Key guests were health adviser G N Singh, Central University of Odisha vice-chancellor Ajit Kumar Shasany, and CSIR-NBRI director Zabeer Ahmed.
