Following a bomb explosion at Moscow's Balzi Rossi restaurant that left five dead and over a dozen wounded, a secret burial took place for a Russian general, according to a well-connected Telegram source. The ceremony at Troekurovskoye Cemetery was guarded by the Federal Protective Service and the National Guard, with metal detectors and vehicle searches employed. Eyewitnesses said the officer appeared fairly young and had a background in the Ground Forces, and an honor guard displayed both Ground Forces and Aerospace Forces flags.

The attack also claimed the life of Daniil Peredriy, identified as Alexander Chayko's son-in-law, and injured Chayko's daughter Maria. Russian authorities have not disclosed the general's identity or the perpetrators, and President Vladimir Putin used the occasion to proclaim that “victory will be ours.”
