Security footage captures hospital operating rooms trembling during Kumamoto quake

A magnitude 6.8 earthquake on July 28 rocked Kumamoto General Hospital, shaking an operating theater where four surgeries were in progress.

Video from a security camera shows the moment the quake rattled the surgical suite, with staff bracing the patient and a nurse opening a door to clear a path. Despite the violent sway of equipment, all four procedures were completed successfully. The hospital halted outpatient services after the tremor but restored them on August 5.
