Singapore student disappears after boarding flight to Cambodia, family urges authorities to act
A 20-year-old Singaporean student vanished after leaving for college, later found to have flown to Phnom Penh; her family has appealed for help.
On 28 July, 20-year-old Singapore student Siti Aishah Siregar informed her mother she would attend Nanyang Polytechnic as usual. When family members went to collect her that evening, her mobile device could not be reached and her WhatsApp account was deactivated. Returning home, they discovered her passport missing and uncovered a flight confirmation to Phnom Penh, Cambodia, in her email.
Singapore police have verified that she boarded an outbound flight and are now coordinating with Cambodian officials to locate her. Her father, Sahat Siregar, posted an emotional appeal on Facebook on 30 July, urging the public and authorities to help bring her back safely.
