Stellantis recalls over a million Ram 1500 trucks for seat-belt anchor defect
More than a million Ram 1500 pickups from model years 2019-2026 are being recalled after the NHTSA found second-row seat-belt anchors may have been installed incorrectly.
The NHTSA has mandated a recall of Ram 1500 trucks from the 2019-2026 model years after discovering that the second-row seat-belt buckle anchors may have been improperly installed, potentially compromising safety in certain driving conditions. The recall does not affect front-row anchors. Stellantis reports a single injury possibly related to the issue, with no fatalities recorded.
Approximately 1.27 million trucks in the United States are included, bringing the total worldwide to 1,271,294 vehicles. A recall notice bearing number 67D will be mailed to owners around August 18, 2026, and VINs can be checked on NHTSA.gov starting August 6, 2026. Affected owners should take their trucks to the nearest dealer for a free inspection and re-attachment of the anchor if needed.
