Piker has reiterated the claim in an X post from January, on the Pod Save America podcast, and during a recent one outlet's interview, where he affirmed Palestinians' right to armed resistance while condemning Hamas' war crimes. The Anti-Defamation League denounced his statements as support for a designated terrorist organization, and Democratic Party figures have faced criticism for their silence. Piker dismissed the backlash as "having the correct position too early" and said he will not soften his language.
