Supreme Court told chances of finding two missing Indian sailors are slim
The government told the Supreme Court that locating two Indian crew members missing after a drone strike on the MV AGN Ragnar is unlikely.
In a filing to the Supreme Court, the solicitor general reported that despite extensive search and rescue efforts, the two Indian seafarers, Deepak Kumar Gupta and Ram Chandra Dubey, have not been found since the July 25 drone attack on the Palau-flagged vessel departing Ukrainian waters. The report combined inputs from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Directorate General of Maritime Administration. The court directed the solicitor general to ensure the families receive their maritime insurance benefits.
