Talia Ryder Joins Michael Shannon in New Horror Reimagining 'Doctor Caligari’s Cabinet of Wonders'
Actress Talia Ryder has been added to the cast of the upcoming horror film 'Doctor Caligari’s Cabinet of Wonders,' starring Michael Shannon as the titular villain.
A contemporary reinterpretation of the seminal horror film is set to feature Michael Shannon as the eerie Doctor Caligari, with Talia Ryder joining the lineup as Jane, a gifted outsider haunted by personal tragedy. John Erick Dowdle wrote and directed the picture, which wrapped production in Germany and is being shopped worldwide by sales agent Anton at the Toronto International Film Festival market. The film is produced by Drew Dowdle for Brothers Dowdle Productions, alongside Sébastien Raybaud, Brandt Wrightsman, Stuart Manashil, Jonas Katzenstein, and Maximilian Leo, with financing from the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and the German Federal Film Fund.
North American rights will be co-handled by CAA Media Finance and Anton. Ryder is concurrently filming the second season of Prime Video’s 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith' and has recent credits in projects with Ethan Coen and Frankie Shaw.
