Teenagers attacked and robbed of electric scooter in Queens, one suspect charged
A group of seven assailants threw rocks at three teens in Corona, Queens, stabbing two of them before stealing their scooter; one 18-year-old was charged.
Authorities reported that a seven-person crew attacked three youths on a Queens street, throwing rocks and demanding their possessions. The assault left a 17-year-old with stab wounds to his back and right shoulder and a 15-year-old with a facial slash; a third 15-year-old escaped injury. The two injured teens were transported to Elmhurst Hospital Center and are in stable condition.
Police have charged 18-year-old Luinyerbed Marcanoliendo of Brooklyn with robbery, gang assault, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment, noting he has no prior arrests. The other participants in the robbery have not been apprehended. The incident occurred steps from several city attractions, including the Queens Museum and Flushing Meadows Corona Park.
