Jacks hit three fours and two sixes in his 41-ball knock of 54 to provide the backbone of MI's chase of 130 on a tricky pitch in Southampton.

At 93-3 and with England all-rounder Jacks in good touch, MI had looked on course for a comfortable win only to lose four wickets for 34 runs. The momentum shifted to Brave when Jacks was trapped lbw to a toe-crushing yorker from Marcus Stoinis, who had earlier removed MI skipper James Vince and Nicholas Pooran for ducks in consecutive deliveries. Sherfane Rutherford's 21 off 12 balls swung it back the visitors' way only for a nail-biting finale as he and Rashid Khan were run out while Tom Curran was bowled by Nikhil Chaudhary.

Why it matters

The result keeps MI London in contention and highlights the competitive balance in The Hundred's early season.
