Three Biden-released migrants charged with thefts in West Virginia towns
ICE says three Venezuelan migrants who entered the U.S. under the Biden administration have been arrested for separate thefts in West Virginia.
ICE officials allege that three Venezuelan migrants—Deivis Willyan Diaz, Daniel Alberto Arias Ramirez, and Oscar Jose Hernandez Silva—committed thefts in two West Virginia towns on the same day. Diaz and Ramirez are accused of taking roughly $21,000 worth of jewelry from a Walmart in West, while Silva faces a petit larceny charge for a separate theft in Sutton. The Department of Homeland Security noted that each individual entered the U.S. interior after being released by the Biden administration, with releases occurring in April 2024, December 2023, and May 2024 respectively.
Ramirez had previously been ordered deported by a federal judge in December 2024, a year after his release. Both Diaz and Ramirez also face grand larceny and conspiracy charges, and Diaz has prior arrests for assault and illegal firearm possession. The three suspects are now detained by ICE and slated for removal.
