Three New York hospitals land on U.S. News top-20 honor roll
NYU Langone, Mount Sinai and NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia-Cornell earned spots on U.S. News & World Report’s honor roll of the nation’s 20 best hospitals.
U.S. News & World Report released its annual Best Hospitals rankings, naming NYU Langone Health, Mount Sinai Hospital and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell as members of the honor roll that highlights the nation’s 20 leading hospitals. All three also shared the No. 1 spot among regional hospitals in the New York City metropolitan area. The evaluation covered nearly 4,500 hospitals across 14 adult specialties and 23 procedures, with only 16% earning the Best Hospitals label.
NYU Langone retained the highest count of No. 1-ranked specialties, including neurology, neurosurgery and cardiology. NewYork-Presbyterian placed in the top five for eight specialties and became the sole New York hospital in the top 20 across all categories, while Mount Sinai ranked in the top five for cardiology and geriatrics and entered the top ten for cancer. Hospital leaders credited dedicated staff, integrated care teams and academic partnerships for the achievements.
