Tilt's livestream auctions enable Gen Z sellers to earn six figures monthly
London startup Tilt lets young entrepreneurs run real-time auction streams, with some users generating over $100,000 a month.
Tilt, a London-based startup, operates a livestream marketplace where sellers present auctions live and viewers place bids instantly. The model has produced rapid success for Gen Z entrepreneurs, including a teenager who reached $100,000 in sales within months and a deaf young woman who exceeded $100,000 after initially hitting five-figure monthly revenue. A sneaker dealer on the platform reportedly makes around $260,000 each month, illustrating the scale of earnings possible.
Tilt’s AI suite scans livestreams, categorises items, and estimates condition and price with about 90% accuracy, allowing sellers to correct listings before auctions begin. The company, launched in 2023, has attracted about $50 million from investors such as Balderton Capital, Earlybird, Seedcamp, TQ Ventures and Vinted Ventures. Its founders anticipate livestream video becoming the primary interface for e-commerce worldwide.
