Total Wireless rolls out new 50% discount and device giveaways

Total Wireless is offering a 50% price cut on its 5G Unlimited plan for customers who bring their own phone, plus several device promotions and referral rewards.

Total Wireless, formerly Total by Verizon, has introduced a series of promotions aimed at attracting new prepaid customers. Bringing a personal handset to the service now qualifies users for a 50% reduction on the Total 5G Unlimited plan, with prices as low as $20 per month after taxes. The carrier also promises device incentives, including a complimentary Galaxy A36 5G, up to four free Moto G Stylus 5G phones, or up to $250 off select models like the iPhone 13.

Subscribers who join through a friend’s referral receive a free month of service and 5,000 points toward future discounts. Additionally, a BYO plan priced at $25 per month offers unlimited hotspot, texting, calling, and roaming in over 140 countries, plus 100 GB of cloud storage. These offers are limited to new customers with compatible unlocked devices and require enrollment in the MAX 5G BYO plan.

Why it matters

The deals could lower mobile costs for consumers and boost competition in the prepaid 5G market.
