Tottenham shows Dejan Kulusevski training with Mohammed Kudus as recovery continues

Tottenham posted video of Dejan Kulusevski working out with teammate Mohammed Kudus, indicating progress in his long-term patella rehab.

Tottenham Hotspur released footage of Dejan Kulusevski engaging in light training activities with fellow midfielder Mohammed Kudus, who has been out since January with a quadriceps problem. The video captures the two players jogging, passing, dribbling and taking shots at a regulation-size goal, offering a glimpse of Kulusevski’s rehabilitation after a 15-month absence due to a complex patella injury. While the scenes show the Swedish international making strides, he remains far from rejoining full squad sessions and will be re-introduced gradually.

Manager Roberto De Zerbi expressed optimism about Kulusevski’s quality but emphasized avoiding pressure to speed up his comeback. Kulusevski has also posted his own rehab clips on Instagram throughout the summer. Sweden’s national team doctor Jonas Werner earlier explained that cartilage injuries like Kulusevski’s are hard to treat and require careful management before the player can handle match stress.

Why it matters

Fans and the club need to know when the key winger might return, affecting Tottenham's squad planning.
