Trevor Bauer slams Dodgers as “snakes” after alleged assault case and release

Former Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer called the Los Angeles Dodgers a “bunch of snakes” and said he wishes he never played for them, accusing the club of abandoning him after sexual assault allegations that led to no criminal charges.

In a recent interview with the YouTube channel “La casa de los Dodgers,” former Cy Young Award pitcher Trevor Bauer denounced the Los Angeles Dodgers as “a bunch of snakes,” claiming the franchise treated him poorly after a San Diego woman accused him of sexual assault. Bauer said the team initially offered support, even noting a hug from manager Dave Roberts, but later distanced itself. After a five-month probe by the Pasadena Police Department, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found insufficient evidence and did not pursue criminal charges.

Major League Baseball imposed a 194-game suspension under its domestic-violence policy, and the Dodgers cut ties with him in January 2023. Since then, Bauer has bounced between Japan’s Nippon Professional Baseball, the Mexican League and the independent Long Island Ducks, and he now plays again in Mexico, stating he does not expect a return to MLB. MLB’s 2024 statement confirms he has served his discipline and is a free agent.
