Trump-backed Patriot Games launch in Ohio to crown teen athletes

The Patriot Games, part of President Donald Trump's vision for America’s 250th birthday, kicked off on Aug. 9 at SPIRE Academy in Geneva, Ohio and will conclude on Aug. 11. Freedom 250’s spokesperson Danielle Alvarez said the three-day contest will showcase 120 teen athletes from across the United States, its territories, military bases and tribal nations, offering $250,000 in scholarships. Events range from sprint and hurdle races to obstacle courses, tug-of-war, kickball and basketball shooting drills.
President Donald Trump will appear on Aug. 11, according to White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. Live coverage is available via one outlet app, and a primetime recap will air on one outlet on Aug. 13.
