Trump Media shares surge 5% as Truth API rollout fuels near-50% rally

Trump Media & Technology Group stock rose about 5% to $10.39, extending a roughly 48% gain since its June low.

Trump Media & Technology Group’s stock increased by about 5.5% on Thursday, reaching $10.39 as the market closed, extending a rally that has added roughly 48% since the share price fell below $7 in June. The surge coincides with the company’s announcement of a Truth API, a subscription-based data feed that will deliver real-time posts from prominent Truth Social accounts to financial firms, priced as high as $100,000 per month.

Trump’s posts have historically moved markets, especially when he comments on issues such as the Iran conflict and tariffs. While the firm has relied mainly on advertising revenue—$3.7 million last year—the API could provide a new, higher-margin income stream. One outlet estimates Trump’s net worth at $6.5 billion, a $600 million rise since the stock’s low. The company debuted on Nasdaq at $70.90 in 2024 and posted a $712 million loss for 2025.

Why it matters

The rebound and new API service show how Trump’s social media can affect market dynamics and the company's finances.
