Trump to honor over 120 U.S. Winter Olympians and Paralympians at White House

On Thursday, President Donald Trump is set to welcome more than 120 members of Team USA who competed in the 2026 Winter Olympics and Paralympic Games to a reception in the White House Rose Garden, according to a statement from spokeswoman Taylor Rogers. Athletes from a range of sports—including figure skating, curling, luge, speedskating, bobsledding, snowboarding, alpine skiing and several Paralympic events—will be present.

Notable attendees include speedskater Jordan Stolz, who famously placed his gold medal around Trump’s neck at a rally in Wisconsin. The men’s hockey team, who previously met the president in the Oval Office, will also attend, but the women’s hockey team and freestyle halfpipe skier Hunter Hess are absent from the guest list. The ceremony underscores the historic haul of 12 Olympic golds and 13 Paralympic golds, the most the United States has achieved at a single winter edition. The gathering is intended to celebrate the athletes’ performances and their representation of American excellence on the world stage.
