Actress Aditi Sharma lodged a police complaint alleging physical, mental and financial abuse by her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law.
Television actress Aditi Sharma, known for roles in several Indian serials, filed a domestic-violence complaint on July 30 at Goregaon Police Station, naming her husband, mother-in-law and sister-in-law as perpetrators. She alleges they subjected her to physical and mental harassment, verbal insults, and unlawfully seized her streedhan, which includes gold chains, rings and a mangalsutra. The FIR lists charges under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, including common intention, breach of trust and cruelty.
Police confirmed the FIR is being probed by Assistant Inspector Amita Marathe, but no arrests have occurred yet. Sharma’s statement recounts ongoing disputes, financial control by her husband, and repeated taunts from her in-laws. The complaint also notes that her mother-in-law frequently traveled to Delhi, and that the couple had been living together before marrying in November 2024.
